This site is designed for writers to self-publish their work and be rewarded for their storytelling.
Rewards are determined and provided by sponsors of the site based on the popularity of each story. Authors whose stories are the most popular win rewards.
Stories from the Heart is not a contest site; it is a publishing service.
To register, fill in your name and email. To like a story, click the heart symbol at the end of it. Story popularity will be measured from the time it is published.
Registrations and published content can be deleted at any time.
As the site name suggests, each story must be uplifting in nature, whether it is based on fact, or is a work of fiction.
Maximum length of each story is 1,000 words or 6,000 characters. You can attribute up to five tags to each story.
Tip: It is recommended the story is written in MS Word or its equivalent prior to uploading in order to check for grammar, spelling and spacing. After saving the story you can then log in and copy and paste to the site.
Stories from the Heart aims to help authors promote their original work. You can only upload your own original content. Work that has been published elsewhere by you, or anyone else, in digital or print form will not be accepted.
You cannot upload content that the editors of the site, and/or its readers, consider to contain racial slurs or remarks directed to an individual, group or groups; that libels and/or defames an individual, group or groups; or that can be considered an attack on a individual, corporate, group or groups.
All content is copyright to the owner who agrees to let the site owners publish such content subject to editorial review.
Once registered, an author can load and edit his or her story prior to publishing.
Stories that are re-edited once published will be considered new and therefore eligible for 'likes'. However 'likes' from the old version will not be added to the new version.
Stories will be published within 24 hours of uploading.
